We are now looking for specialist doctors, assistant chief physicians, or chief physicians in clinical pathology with a placement in Malmö.

The area of operation (VO) Clinical Genetics, Pathology, and Molecular Diagnostics has over 400 employees and consists of three sections made up of the medical specialties Clinical Genetics and Clinical Pathology, as well as the methodological area/platform Molecular Diagnostics. Our operations are characterized by very strong development, both in terms of technical and medical possibilities and an increasing demand for our diagnostics.

We have operations for Clinical Pathology in Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad, while Clinical Genetics and Molecular Diagnostics are primarily located in Lund. We conduct both basic diagnostics and highly specialized diagnostics and provide special expertise and consultation expertise within the southern healthcare region. Our operations also include the Center for Rare Diagnoses (CSD). We have a close collaboration with Lund University, and several of our employees conduct successful research linked to the operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our diagnostics are driven and developed in 18 processes, histological diagnostics are performed via digital imaging, and the digitization of cytological diagnostics is underway. Molecular pathology is a routine part of the pathologist's diagnostics, and analyses are conducted within the framework of the Laboratory Medicine Center for Molecular Diagnostics. We actively participate in quality and care program work, both regionally and nationally, and conduct operations that are accredited in selected areas with accompanying quality assurance of laboratory work, diagnostics, and document management.

Training of students, supervision of resident doctors, and research are part of our operations and therefore also part of your work as a specialist doctor. We have a close collaboration with academia, including Lund University. QUALIFICATIONS

For employment as a specialist doctor, the following must be fulfilled:

• Medical license with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare.
• Specialist competence in clinical pathology.
• Completed or planned course in clinical supervision.
• Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.

For employment as an assistant chief physician, the following must also be fulfilled:

• Full-time service of at least 5 years (documented effective time)
• Clinical skill and independence in clinical pathology and independence in the main specialty that the employment refers to, in addition to the obtained specialist competence.
• Defined medical responsibility and knowledge area.
• Completed or planned clinical supervisor training.
• Documented teaching and supervision merits.

For employment as a chief physician, the following must also be fulfilled:

• Full-time service of at least 5 years (documented effective time)
• Clinical skill and independence in clinical pathology and independence in the main specialty that the employment refers to, in addition to the obtained specialist competence.
• Defined medical responsibility and knowledge area.
• Completed or planned clinical supervisor training.
• Documented teaching and supervision merits.
• PhD

At a university hospital unit, it is required that doctors have pedagogical experience and education. This can have been acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as doctors in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral students.
